Don't Break the Chain

So, all of us here (eheh!) know that when I say "I don't want to be one of those bloggers who does this" I inevitably end up doing exactly what "this" happens to be. That said, I shall now talk on a subject which I don't generally like talking about on here-myself!
Since one of my colleagues, along with the whole internet community, is doing this lovely self-reformation gig, I figured I'd give it a shot. I've tried this a few times before, making lists and things to stay focused, but maybe this time, with all these vibes floating about, I'll actually be able to accomplish some of the things I set out to do. I have one list that I found very helpful. I titled mine "I Would Like To Be...." and then under that I'll write things like "A protector of sea-life in New Zealand/the Arabian Peninsula/the Gulf," "an open mind," "a philosopher," and artsy things such as "a painter," "a photographer," etc. There's also a little explanation: This list is to remind me what some of my goals, as a person, are. It can include:

  • acts
  • states of mind
  • career choices
  • hobbies
etc., etc., etc. It'll be useful as an inspiration-booster and also as a thing for when I'm old and crotchety and wondering what to do with my remaining years.
